Greenville\u2019s Annual Cross Training 5K, in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/crossfitgreenville.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CrossFit Greenville<\/a>! Your participation was a blessing to our staff and the many families we serve.<\/p>\n<p>Together, we were able to raise over <strong>$18,830<\/strong>\u00a0after expenses that will help us in our mission to relieve burdens, empower families and proclaim Christ throughout our community! This event was accomplished by God\u2019s grace, the hard work of our staff and many participants like yourself!<\/p>\n<p>On race day, we had <strong>189 participants<\/strong> between the 5K Run, Cross Training 5K, and Walk, along with about <strong>40 volunteers<\/strong> to help man the course! We enjoyed a beautiful day and were encouraged by the many people who came out to support this event.\u00a0 We had a day of fun and fellowship with friends, both old and new!<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to look at your race day map, which lists all the partnering sponsors that helped make the event a success! You can view the race pictures by going to our website and following the link to race day photos or Shutterfly at <a href=\"https:\/\/hopeofglory.shutterfly.com\/pictures\/7379\">https:\/\/hopeofglory.shutterfly.com\/pictures\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Various businesses contributed gifts for top finisher prizes at our UBE Post Race Party.\u00a0 The value of the race <strong>gifts-in-kind was estimated at over $5,000.00<\/strong>.\u00a0 Also on race day, anyone who brought five toiletry or household items for our co-op program received a complimentary gift card to <a href=\"http:\/\/greenvillenc.greatharvestbread.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Great Harvest Bread Company<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, we would like to invite you to partner with us this Christmas as we collect brand new toys for our \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hope-of-glory.org\/empower-a-family-christmas-store\/\">Empower a Family Christmas Store<\/a>\u201d. Please bring any items by the ministry between October 25<sup>th<\/sup> and December 5<sup>th<\/sup>! You may also contribute a financial gift to support this special outreach. From customers and donors in the Community Outlet, to Race sponsors, Empowerment Sponsors, toiletry donations, and monthly donors, we could not operate without you!<\/p>\n<p>The Lord has covered this ministry in prayer since the beginning, and we, as a team continue to move forward to do the work the Lord has placed upon our hearts. This ministry continues to make heart and habit changes right here in Pitt County, empowering families to reach financial health through biblical wisdom. Leading a nonprofit was once a young college girls dream, turned reality five years later.
